... yum yum- part 19...

chicken liver green peas...
chicken livers, green peas and shiitake mushrooms...
strongly recommend this combination...
simple to cook, nice to eat, especially with steamed rice...

sweet vinegar chicken wing...
chicken wings, shiitake mushrooms, sugar and vinegar...
medium fire slow cooked for 1 hour...
i didn't put too much oil, so that i can drink the gravy as well...

bacon steamed rice...
pork shoulder bacon, fragrant rice, chilli paste and boiled eggs...
just put the cut bacon and chilli paste into a automatic rice cooker...
the rice tasted very nice after absorbed the bacon's salty...
similar to the traditional claypot rice...

grilled pork chop...
pork chop, soy sauce, black pepper, vinegar, lemon, olive oil and flour...
i always prefer oven grilling to deep frying...
it makes me think of the famous taiwanese pork chop noodle in malacca...
next time i'm going to keep the same recipe and try it in hailamnese style...

... i wish i don't have time for facebook...

a new poll from sei wealth network, a wealth-advisory firm, suggests that a majority of millionaires have signed up for social media sites...
but they don't have time to actually use them...

70% of respondents with us$5 million or more in investible assets are users of facebook and other social media sites...
but the poll also showed that only 17% of the multimillionaires use the sites on a daily basis...

that is far less than the broader population, in which 38% use such sites at least once a day...
the main reason is... the wealthy are squeezed for time...

i wish i don't have too much time for facebook though...

... indoor ponds...

duende studio has unveiled a series of 'domestic ponds' that explore the potential for incorporating living ecosystems within our homes...
the limited edition ponds re-envision everyday aquariums as delicately-balanced eco systems that have been adapted to our contemporary interiors...

for the domestic pond exhibit, duende studio worked with mathieu lehanneur, benjamin graindorge and eric jourdan to present 3 different takes on the aquarium while ending the designers' research on domestic water features initiated in 2008 with 'local river'...
each designer features as array of fish and plants living in harmony- the plants are nourished by the fish, in turn they act as a natural filter and balance the water...

mathieu lehanneur's 'fontaine' pond presents a visually pedagogic version in 3 parts: the aquarium, the sand filter and the plant pot...
he has chosen materials that succinctly represent their purposes in the process- glass, terra cotta and ceramic...
the water is rendered free of neophytes as it travels from the aquarium, is filtered by the sand and is introduced to the plant for purification...
