... wardrobe design...

earlier i have posted some key informations for kitchen design, this time i would like to share some more informations for wardrobe design...

- space planning -
a walk-in closet or wardrobe is a private area where you keep your personal belongings and cloths... it will be an area or a set of built-in furniture to blend with the rest of the design in the room...
most of the couples will divide their storage with 'his' storage or 'her' storage...
incorporating a rug and a comfortable designer chair will ensure that you can spend your private moment comfortably...

- intelligent storage -
drawer system plays a very important role in wardrobe system because i think it will fully utilised the storage space and practical...
full extension under-mounted runner with clear glass drawer front is always my preference as it will help you to organise your storage well and convenient...
heavy duty hanging rods, adjustable shelves and pull-out baskets can also be incorporated in the design...
a secret compartment can be created to keep your diamonds and gold bars...
some people prefer to put their safe box in their wardrobe for their cash and watches, but make sure it will be seated on a proper designed strong base...
these days people keep their branded handbags and shoes in their wardrobe, a well organised shelving system will help to protect the expensive leather wares...

- material and finishing -
normally i will pick the finishing with some reflection effect especially lacquered doors or mirror finished...
with the right lighting effect and reflection you can feel like an exclusive personal boutique...

- handles -
small knobs for the drawers and bar handles for the doors are always my choice... a leather handles on wooden effect door panels would be a perfect combination...

- mirror -
how can you design a wardrobe without a full height mirror? ...

- lighting -
lighting the space will enhance the overall appearance of the wardrobe...
again you can play with stylish pendant lights or chandelier especially on an island if the space allow...
but always remember to design the dresser table lights correctly as the misplaced lighting will affect your make-up... fluorescent is the perfect light for dresser counter...

again, the wardrobe design should be designed to reflect your individual needs, requirements and lifestyles...
